I’m actually surprised because I had no idea Fox was so popular in Ireland. Shame that that name comes from my Dad who was adopted at birth.

To be experimental and curious, I looked up Carnagey which is my mother’s maiden name. It only appears in the U.S. and a little in Germany. I wasn’t surprised seeing this considering my family knows that their actual surname was changed when they immigrated. Now I just need to see if we still have the records…

But this is what happens when the only side of your heritage that you actually know (my Mom’s, since Dad is adopted as mentioned above) is full of immigrants with changed surnames and Native Americans with American-government-given surnames.
